The Rundown: Crab Louie gets another chance to be a hero.

Lamenting his time on the surface and the lack of respect he seems to get from his family, Crab Louie gets the only work he can find, trading on his name at local conventions. As he sits at his table waiting for anyone to recognize him, his fellow attendees deal with their own levels of obscurity.

When the convention is attacked by a group of terrorists, Crab Louie and the others band together to use whatever skills they have and marshal whatever courage they may have lost to defeat the threat that becomes personal when he realizes that his daughter is one of the people in danger.

The Story: Simone crafts a fun, funny and sometimes sad story in this issue. It’s a perfect addition to the world of Minor Threats as it deals with characters who remember the glory days of being larger than life and how those days have made them unable to deal with the reality of being civilians again. There are some truly funny moments throughout the story and a fantastic tone that adds depth to its comedic premise.

The Art: Ha crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visuals of Louie in the ocean and how they meld with the mundane world he finds himself in.
